Oh where do I begin?
Last Friday we had a Fashion Show to launch our new Spring line. What a wonderful event. I was able to see the new colors and styles on bodies of all shapes and sizes. It was fun to see how everyone accessorized their outfits too. I got some really great ideas I can't wait to try, and for that matter share with you all.
Ok, so lets get started. I found out lilac purple is the new "pink". It is going to be popular. I'm sure you have seen it in the stores. It was on the Red Carpet the other day at the People's Choice Awards. Purple will be your pop color for the Spring and Summer. It pairs nicely with the "neutrals", like Black (of course), deep pewter, midnight blue and deep chocolate. Give it a try. If you don't like it you don't have to wear it.
Key accessories this season will be belts (wide, braided, chain it doesn't matter), messenger bags, scarves, & sunglasses.
One last tip they gave us is dress for the size you are now. Don't dress like you still have the same body from 1990 and don't dress like the body you want to have in December (20 lbs lighter). Dress for what you look like now. Be happy with how you look! You want to maximize your assets and minimize your liabilities. If you have a large butt wear plain pants and a top with some color to draw the eyes up. If you have amazing eyes dress them up with a little eye makeup and mascara to make them the focal point. The same goes if you have great hair.
I have a larger bottom half so I try to jazz up my shirt and then draw attention to my eyes. That way people don't dwell on my lower half.
