Jockey Person to Person Give Away

I have decided to steal an idea from my friend Ashley. I blogged about her super give away yesterday, the Orglamix eye color. Well, I was thinking about it this morning in the shower...that is where I do my best thinking because most of the time I am alone in the bathroom. As a side note, I have an 8 year old daughter and I am currently seperated from my husband so I am parenting alone. Usually she follows me where ever I go.

So anyway...where was I...oh yeah...I am going to do a give away like Ashley. I am going to use my Jockey clothes as the give away. First give away will be one of the new scarves in our Spring Line. This will be a great accessory for you to have in your wardrobe. Scarves go with many outfits. I will post some ideas in the coming days so you can get ideas of how to incorporate it into your wardrobe.

Super give away!

I was just reading on my friend Ashley's blog about a really cool give away she is doing. The product is called Orglamix. It is sheer, translucent, 100% pure minerals that glide on softly and give your lids a luminous glow. The colors that they have are amazing!!!! I can honestly say that I would wear them all. Spring 2010 Trends

Oh where do I begin?

Last Friday we had a Fashion Show to launch our new Spring line. What a wonderful event. I was able to see the new colors and styles on bodies of all shapes and sizes. It was fun to see how everyone accessorized their outfits too. I got some really great ideas I can't wait to try, and for that matter share with you all.

Ok, so lets get started. I found out lilac purple is the new "pink". It is going to be popular. I'm sure you have seen it in the stores. It was on the Red Carpet the other day at the People's Choice Awards. Purple will be your pop color for the Spring and Summer. It pairs nicely with the "neutrals", like Black (of course), deep pewter, midnight blue and deep chocolate. Give it a try. If you don't like it you don't have to wear it.

Key accessories this season will be belts (wide, braided, chain it doesn't matter), messenger bags, scarves, & sunglasses.

One last tip they gave us is dress for the size you are now. Don't dress like you still have the same body from 1990 and don't dress like the body you want to have in December (20 lbs lighter). Dress for what you look like now. Be happy with how you look! You want to maximize your assets and minimize your liabilities. If you have a large butt wear plain pants and a top with some color to draw the eyes up. If you have amazing eyes dress them up with a little eye makeup and mascara to make them the focal point. The same goes if you have great hair.

I have a larger bottom half so I try to jazz up my shirt and then draw attention to my eyes. That way people don't dwell on my lower half.

I hope my suggestions have helped. I am thrilled with the new Jockey catalog. The colors are great, the fit and fabric are amazing. I hope that you will give Jockey Person to Person a try and see what an amazing product we have. The clothes are so versatile that they will work for everyone.

The rest of the tips to hiding your Holiday weight gain

Tip #3 is Tailoring
*Wear a tailored pant or skirt
*Wear a buttoned front collared shirt
*Wear a jacket
*Do Not wear sweatpants or baggy jeans
*Wear fabrics that drape not cling

Tip #4 Shapewear
*Control-top panty hose
*Tummy smoothers or Hip and thigh smoothers
*Jeans with tummy smoothing panels
*Shirts with hidden darts

Tip #5 Hair and Makeup
*Make sure you contour your face with bronzer
*Wear blush
*Wear a fuller hairstyle and be sure that your hair doesn't end at the widest point of your face

New Hoodie

I was out shopping with my parents and Amanda yesterday. We were doing our weekly shopping to get the necessities we were out of, like cat food, cat liter, tooth brushes and so on. We started out at Sam's Club. I went off to get what was on my list and I wandered down an aisle to check out socks. Many of you know I HATE socks, however, with the frigid temps lately I have been wearing socks. Shocking, I know. My sock supply is dwindling, many of my socks suck. I wanted to see what they had and if there would be any that I would wear. To my shock and awe I found a package that seemed to qualify. I then meandered over to the next aisle to see what I could find. At the end of the aisle I came to a rack with a bunch of coats and other outer wear. I was intriqued so I stopped to check it out. I found a ton of hoodies that were so soft. Immediately, I wanted one. I started checking for my size, first in pink, then black and brown and finally in eggshell otherwise know as cream. Now I am not the neatest person in the world, I always seem to drip something on my clothes. Eggshell was not the best choice for me. Wouldn't you know, that was the only color in my size. UGH!!! But it was so soft and cuddly.....what to do....I decided to try it on and it was so nice I couldn't not get it. I have now decided that I need another one, in either brown or black. I put it on when we got home from shopping and wore it until dinner. Then I put on another hoodie just in case I spilled. LOL
Amanda cuddled with my hoodie last night after I put on my pjs. It was quite a sight. She is so cute.
I am wearing my new hoodie again today. Yea!!!! If perhaps you are out and about shopping at Sam's Club and spot one of these wonderfully cuddly hoodies in brown or black size 2xl please let me know I will pay you back if you happen to purchase it for me.

Do you look at your closet and see nothing to wear?

Ok, so this morning I was thinking about what to wear. I mentally went over my wardrobe. NOTHING! I went to the closet and all I saw were the same outfit I ALWAYS wear. What now? I decided that I was going to wear jean, the trouser style. I had a meeting this morning and i wanted to be a little dressy but not over dressed. Then I thought about accessories. I grabbed my black 3/4 sleeve polo and decided to add a chain belt to it and a light weight scarf around my neck. I tried it on and gazed into the mirror. It looks great! Yeah! A new outfit. The belt is draped, not cinched and breaks up my outfit a little and the scarf gives a little color and give movement.

* Try a shoe with a heel
* Wear long chains
* Put on some dangly earrings
* Wear a bracelet or cuff

Hiding the Holiday Extra Pounds

Do your clothes feel a little tight? Do you seem to have gained 5-10 extra pounds in December? I have 5 Simple tips to help hide the extra holiday pounds:
1. Color
*Always wear deep rich shades like black, dusty violet, and midnight blue
*Make your outfit monochromatic
*Wear vertical pinstripes
*Do Not wear any shiny fabrics or prints

I also recommend wearing pants with a little elastic so you don't look like you squeezed into your pants.
